Rockingham County School's AIG Department offers a year long blended professional development course to prepare teachers to take the Gifted Education Praxis. Click on the button below for a list of the colleges and universities that offers an AIG add-on licensure and/or Masters in Gifted Education.Īn alternative to completing course work is, a teacher can obtain the AIG add-on licensure by taking and passing the Praxis Exam (5258) for Gifted Education. Each university sets their own tuition rate. Each of them has a minimum of 4 courses required for the licensure. In North Carolina, a teacher can earn an add-on AIG license through an accredited Institute of Higher Education.
